The main venue for the conference is Malmö, a city located in the south of Sweden, 600 km south of Stockholm, 20 minutes by train across the Öresund strait from Copenhagen in Denmark.
The main venue for the conference is Malmö University at the “Hurricane” building (Orkanen). The “Hurricane” (Orkanen) is situated in the heart of Västra hamnen (the western harbor area), in the centre of Malmö, within walking distance from the train station.

Upon arrival at Copenhagen’s Airport Kastrup you can take the train directly to Malmö, from Terminal 3, where baggage claim and customs are located. Trains depart three times an hour and a one-way journey by train costs SEK 90. Tickets can be bought at the Airport’s station. Ticket machines are found at the exits. The estimated journey time to Malmö is 20 minutes. The train takes you to Malmö Central Station, which is the second stop. Do not get off at Malmö Syd Svågertorp, which is the first stop.
Malmö airport (Sturup):
Upon arriving at Malmö Sturup airport you can go by taxi, or catch a bus directly into Malmö Central train station (which is located in the centre of the city).
On arrival by boat at Trelleborg or Ystad from Germany or Poland, you can take the bus (from Trelleborg) or train (from Ystad) directly to Malmö.
The Öresund Bridge crosses the Öresund strait and provides a new efficient way to travel between Malmö and Copenhagen, either by car or by train. The price for crossing the bridge by car is currently SEK 290.
Trains & train stations
Travel directly to Malmö Central Station. Malmö University are only a short walk from the central station. If you take a taxi, please check the price of the journey with the driver before departing. You should not have to pay more than SEK 100. The taxi company Delta Cab offers a fixed price of SEK 59 within the city centre.
The pre-conference venue is The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, located 5 km north of Stockholm City.

Bus 40 from Fridhemsplan or Odenplan to station Universitetet norra, or the underground, red line towards Mörby Centrum. Get off at the station Universitetet.
From central Stockholm, drive to Roslagstull and north on Roslagsvägen. Turn off at Stockholm University and follow signs saying Vetenskapsakademien. From the north, and Arlanda airport, go south on the E4 and turn off towards Bergshamra on the E18, then follow signs towards Stockholm. On Roslagsvägen, turn off at sign saying Vetenskapsakademien.
